Call for entries

Send in your short films that tell stories from a women’s perspective!

We are looking for films that deal with ideas, realities, wishes, hopes, fears, dreams and fantasies of women all over the world, in any creative way.

The compiled short film program, curated by our international team in June 2010, will be shown outdoors and free of charge in various villages in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia from October 2010 till January 2011. After the tour, the CineCita project will be presented on film festivals worldwide.

Special Award

Out of all the selected films one filmmaker will be offered the possibility to join this nomadic film experience for up to one month! CineCita will cover all travel- and lodging costs!

Criteria

• In order to participate in the film program, your film should relate to the topic 'La Mirada de Ella – stories from a women’s perspective' in a creative way.
• Length: Films must not succeed a length of 20 minutes.
• All genres welcome! (documentary, narrative, animation, experimental, music video, etc.).
• Language: Preferably Spanish spoken, or otherwise with Spanish or English subtitles.
• Format: Please submit your film on Mini DV or DVD. Please note that the copies will not be returned.
• We especially welcome films from female directors.

Submission Information

• Deadline for submissions is June 1st, 2010. We kindly ask you not to wait until the deadline but rather send your film in as soon as possible. All submitted works must be mailed or hand delivered to Moviemiento.
• In addition to the screening copy, please send us the filled-out and signed entry form, a short synopsis in English about the film and information about the filmmaker, cast and crew. Clearly mark your film copy with its title and length and your own name.
• Moviemiento requests the right to compile the submitted films for the project tour in South America and Europe between July 2010 and December 2011.
• Our international film committee will select the final film program by July 2010. All filmmakers will be notified of acceptance via email as soon as selections are made.

Rules and Responsibilities

• It is understood that each submitting filmmaker is responsible for all copyright and permission clearances in his/her entry and that Moviemiento accepts no responsibility for copyright or permission infringement.
• Moviemiento reserves the right to compile all entries accepted as part of the CineCita Festival program. By virtue of having their work accepted, all selected filmmakers acknowledge Moviemiento’s right to screen this program without limitation during the South America and European Tour between July 2010 and December 2011. It is further understood by all entrants that Moviemiento shall retain a permanent copy of this program for archival purposes.
